Bred by Somerset Rose Nursery (1930) United States.
Introduced in United States (1930) by Henry A. Dreer.
Class:
Climber, Hybrid Wichurana, Large-Flowered Climber.  
Bloom:
Light pink.  Moderate fragrance.  up to 35 petals.  Average diameter 4".  Medium to large, very double, borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped-to-flat bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Arching, climbing.  Glossy, dark green foliage.  
Height of 10' to 20' (305 to 610 cm).  Width of up to 8' (up to 245 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5b through 9b.  Hardy.  very vigorous.  shade tolerant.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .  Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection).  Can be pruned to maintain a shorter habit.  Prune right after flowering is finished.  Remove spent blooms only.  This rose blooms on old wood.
