Bred by George Lilley (United Kingdom, 1922).
Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1924 as 'Marcia Stanhope'.
Introduced in Australia by H. Kemp in 1925 as 'Marcia Stanhope'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
White.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, semi-double to double, borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Rounded buds.  
Habit:
Dense, few or no prickles/thorns, upright.  Large, dark green, leathery foliage.  

Height: 2' to 32" (60 to 80cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Hardy.
