Another good yellow is ‘Soeur Therese’. We do not disbud this bush, which is tall with an odd branchng habit. Each branch swings out and up, terminating in five upright buds. Someone has likened the golden buds to lighted candles and the description, we think is very apt.

Soeur Thérèse makes a wonderful bush of almost Hybrid Perpetual growth; its buds are bronze-yellow, almost like 'Mme. Alexandre Dreux,' but the flowers fade... After 'Max Krause', the race for second place among yellows in my garden lies between 'Mrs. Pierre S. du Pont', 'Golden Dawn' (absolutely the finest non-Pernetiana yellow rose in the world), 'Président Charles Hain,' 'Mrs. E.P. Thom', 'Eldorado', 'Roselandia', ' and 'Soeur Thérèse'.

Arbuste de bonne vigueur à rameaux très allongés assez épineux. Feuillage vert clair. Bouton très allongé jaune d’or verdâtre, bien rayé de carmin porté par un très long et ferme pédoncule. Fleur jaune d’or sans mélange de bonne grandeur et de bonne duplicature, odorante. Les fleurs portées sur de longues tiges seront très recherchées pour la fleur coupée. Floraison abondante
