Another good yellow is ‘Soeur Therese’. We do not disbud this bush, which is tall with an odd branchng habit. Each branch swings out and up, terminating in five upright buds. Someone has likened the golden buds to lighted candles and the description, we think is very apt.

Sister Therese.  Here is a Rose with all the good qualities that make it a valuable garden variety—a remarkably strong, tall, vigorous, free-branching bush that is always in bloom. The very long, gracefully slender bud is perfection itself. The color is chrome-yellow, tinged carmine and the petalage is sufficient to make it excellent for cutting. The open flower is somewhat lighter yellow, combined with deeper tones of apricot and gold, is always wonderful to behold. Heavy grade 75c each. Medium grade 50c each.

Quoique son maigre feuillage lui porte préjudice, Soeur Thérèse est déjà très répandue dans les jardins et, les pépinières laissent supposer une demande plus importante encore.

Soeur Thérèse makes a wonderful bush of almost Hybrid Perpetual growth; its buds are bronze-yellow, almost like 'Mme. Alexandre Dreux,' but the flowers fade... After 'Max Krause', the race for second place among yellows in my garden lies between 'Mrs. Pierre S. du Pont', 'Golden Dawn' (absolutely the finest non-Pernetiana yellow rose in the world), 'Président Charles Hain,' 'Mrs. E.P. Thom', 'Eldorado', 'Roselandia', ' and 'Soeur Thérèse'.
