Introduced in France by Meilland et Cie in 1946 as 'La Vaudoise'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1951 as 'La Vaudoise'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Dark red, scarlet shading.  Moderate fragrance.  Medium to large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, bushy.  Leathery foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.
