Bred by Mathias Tantau, Jr. (1912 - 2006) (Germany, 1969).
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Shrub.  
Bloom:
Crimson.  Strong fragrance.  35 petals.  Average diameter 5".  Very large, full (26-40 petals), in small clusters, cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Large, glossy, dark green foliage.  

Height: 39" to 4'11" (100 to 150cm).  Width: 3' to 4' (90 to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for cut flower or garden.
