Arvid`s garden Lista southwestern coast of Norway July 2008. This hardy old shrub rose has over the years been sold in Norway under the name "Provinsrose" which is also a Norwegian name for Rosa Gallica - The French Rose. I like this rose, being as it is a colourful patch during blossom time adding to an otherwise dull hedge at the roadside of my garden. It has even sported two suckers of which I have kept one for myself.
