Comte as own-root in less than 5 hours of sun. I have 2 own-roots, bought as tiny bands from Burlington nursery. One black spotted the 1st year, and in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year I figured out how to keep them clean: give them potassium and calcium before they are done with blooming. If the pH falls to acidic level, they are prone to blackspot.
