My budded Goldfinch grows like a very tall stiff bush. It increases with many basal canes which are a soft green and very stiff. This is no doubt due to the fact that it has a lot of multiflora roses in the background.The buds are yellow and the flowers are symetrically formed, start out yellow and then in a few days end up an ivory shade. It blooms only once in the PNW and has a scent of bananas and oranges ( so the books say). Goldfinch should be grown in partial shade to keep the yellow colour from fading so quickly.
