Hi! I'm responding to your request for overwintering advice. The USDA recently put out a new hardiness zone map and zip code 01945 is now in Zone 7A. So you should have no problems overall with hardiness of this rose, with the exception of the event of repeated unexpected cold snaps. That said, general tips for overwintering in pots are: covering the root zone with mulch or leaves, placing the pot in a sheltered area, out of direct wind. Tying up long canes so they don't whip in the wind. Grouping pots together so they insulate each other. Raking piles of leaves around the grouped pots to insulate them. And a BIG one: Keeping the rose watered throughout the winter, if there is not significant snow melt or rain. Watering once a month during dormancy is a good rule of thumb; again, if there has not been significant precipitation. I have overwintered this rose twice in Zone 7B with no issues, you should be able to do it successfully as well. Good luck! PS: I LOVE this rose, she is one of my all time favorites!
