Xian Ren Dong, a canyon a short distance west of Zhongdian, Yunnan China. September, 1997
From the notes of collector Don Howse: "The site was a narrow canyon with steep rocky walls, I assumed would be limestone. It was a beautiful sunny day, and there was lots of color and interesting plant material. From my notes that I have, we saw and collected Schisandra sp., Syringa yunnanense, Euonymus sp (dwarf), Saxifraga and Sedums on mossy rocks, Ligularia sp., and Rosa ptericantha. "
