'Rosa foliolosa Nutt. ex Torr. & A.Gray' rose Reviews & Comments

Well, I'm not sure what I have, the plant that was sent to me doesn't look like the photos listed here. My photo is of a rose with small white blooms in clusters, it is not fragrant. It is not multiflora, and it's leaves have great fall color.
When you look up photos of R. foliolosa at wildflower.org there is a photo taken by Sally Wasowski but the leaves don't look like the ones on my rose. The leaves in her photo do look like SOME of the ones for R. foliolosa. http://www.wildflower.org/gallery/result.php?id_image=24303
I don't know if my rose was grafted onto another species, but that doesn't make sense, but if anyone can identify it that would be great. It's not a drought tolerant rose, but granted, I have it in full sun, and heavy rocky clay soil on a slope.

I took some photos last month of R. foliolosa at Descanso Gardens. I don't know the rose so can only hope it is correctly identified. Not sure how to post pics here--perhaps post first and then a photo button appears???

Tessie, thanks for the photos, the running shrub looks like some of the descriptions, but the Descanso leaves look different from the photos at wildflower.org. (The Wildflower.org photos are clickable.)

The leaves on my plant don't look like either of these sets of photos; the leaves are small, and there is a red edge to their new growth, and they are about 1/2 inch. There are small thorns on the stems.
The plant doesn't stand upright, but ranges on the ground or sends up moderately strong branches that would climb if given the chance. The bloom is white, about 3/4 inch, and not fragrant; it's boss is much smaller than in the Wildflower.org photo.
I'm having trouble uploading photos this morning, not sure if it's my system or if there have been changes in the HMF program, I can try a different computer over the weekend.
