Large,long-lasting blooms. Heavy and full petaled, yet opens perfectly. Blossoms blush pink, depending on weather conditions (more pink in hotter weather). Truly gorgeous, and I find the slight fruity scent to be appealing. (Sometimes, roses are too sweetly scented for my fibromyalgia.)

Yes, I must add that I like the compactness and disease resistance also--as others have noted. This rose just seems to glow in the garden and, as I noted, sometimes has a pink blush to the caramel color.

Update: This rose did not prove hardy here in southern Ohio.

Frederic Mistral is terrific! Good substance and form on long stems, and strongly scented. Grows like it's on steroids.

Which rose variety are you referring to here?

Has proven to be quite hardy here in southern Ohio (which is unusual for a yellow) and is a heavy bloomer. Nice combination of older light yellow blooms and a stronger yellow on newly opened flowers. Best yellow I have experienced.
