Just have to say this has quickly become one of my favorite roses. I planted it last year and it immediately took off. It is great for smaller gardens because it has a very upright habit, but isn't "compact"; it easily exceeded 30" high (the height of the picket fence it is against) and is floriferous and a strong repeat bloomer. And the fragrance is to my nose strong and delicious (it helps if you like anise). The flowers last and last on the bush, even in 100 degree heat, and even longer in the vase. It has shrugged off all disease and its foliage is nice as well. I love the frilliness of the petals. Just an all-around great rose. Might help if it were called Buttery Licorice or something like that because it is really white/light yellow, but no regrets. Wish I had room for several more.

So far this rose is amazing. On its own roots, it is already around 4.5 feet tall. It really likes to throw big sprays on new canes and then the rebloom will always be single. Quick to repeat No need to spray this one either, The blooms are all consistent in size...4 inches. The fragrance is a nice STRONG verbena smell. The only negative thing I can say about it is that it has large, sharp thorns. The flowers are much prettier in person than those provided by the breeder.

I see you're in Georgia, wonder if it could be No Spray grown in North Florida? I don't spray my OGRs or shrubs but do all my HTs.... This has been sprayed by default but wonder if I could get away with not spraying it.

I spray some varieties, but only when I have to. It's with my group of roses that require little to no spraying at all...when I do spray it's with a peroxide mixture, or with a milk mixture. Give it a shot, if you have to end up spraying...so be it...

I like everything about this rose except it is too short for its location. It's under 30" high. It has sun, water, everything else, and the roses around it are tall. It is vigorous and a pretty good bloomer. I have other roses that shot up their first year... is this one slow to reach its height?

2019 was a strange garden year, with a very long wet spring unusual for our climate. I also moved Easy Spirit a foot closer to a fence, and though I tried to keep as much root as possible I'm sure there was some regrowth needed. The net result was the bush appeared healthy and was disease-free but stayed small and had few blossoms (the general trend for my entire garden last year).
This year Easy Spirit has rebounded. It is almost three feet tall as of now, covered with buds and blooms, lush with leaves, and delectably fragrant. The blooms last a long time on the bush or in the vase. It continues to be disease-free. This is one of my favorite roses in my garden. I look forward to the hot days so its red picotee and "beauty spots" will appear.

The blooms are pretty when fresh but fade to an unattractive brown. Too bad.
