Introduced in France by Eugène Verdier fils aîne in 1886 as 'Madame Lureau-Escalaïs'.

Light pink.  Large, full (26-40 petals), globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.

Notes:
Dedicated to Maria Escalaïs-Lureau (February 14 [or 24], 1860 Montreuil-sous-Bois - January 27, 1923, Cuxac d'Aude), French soprano. She married tenor Léonce-Antoine Escalaïs (August 8, 1859 Cuxac-d'Aude - November 8, 1940 Cuxac d'Aude) in February 1884.
