New plant of the lovely new Austin rugosa, Wild Edric. Arrived as a bareroot from Pickering Nurseries, Canada, in spring of 2012. Grafted on multiflora rootstock. Soil in my garden is alkaline and so is the water (average 7.9 with a range of 7.0 to 8.8 according to the water company's latest annual report, 2011). This rose is not fertilized, and no soil amendments or mulch has been used. Picture was taken at night, with flash.
