Scaggley, thorny, lop-sided plant with too many thorns and not enough foliage............but never clusters (as First Prize does) and always has given me THESE beauties and it is easy to see how it left the gate strong, right with First Prize, size and SHAPE being the buzz words of the 70's.........in retrospect it isn't THAT much more scaggley, etc than First Prize but it does bloom less and quickly was dismissed..........it also shatters so quickly! From tight bud to blowsy faded bloom in 36 hours or less.....but the size, the shape, the color!
