Gene Boerner is vigorous in my rock-hard clay. Picture taken 8/28/17 as a 5th-year-own-root, always healthy & continuous bloomer & 100% THORNLESS & last long in the vase. During 104 F hot & dry summer, these were loaded with blooms at local park (grafted-on-Dr.Huey): Gene Boerner, Cherry Parfait, Singin' in the Rain, Double Delight, and Chicago Peace.
