8 Jan 2020 (midsummer), Sydney, Australia. These blooms of "Agnes Smith" were very unusually bright pink. The unopened buds are often this colour but rarely the open flowers. Perhaps having a day of over 43°C heat followed by four days of temperatures in the mid twenties has had an effect. Interestingly, the buds didn't scorch on that very hot day as did other roses in the garden.
