(1 of 3) Named for Mt. Fuji on the island of Honshu where it grows, this elegant species graces the slopes of Japan's sacred mountain. A member of the Synstylae section, some consider it one of the varieties of Rosa luciae. My plant came from the Quarryhill Botanic Garden. Photographed June 6, 2020 at "Rose Woods" in the Mayacmas Mtns. near Petrified Forest, California.
