Taken January 2020 in Fort Lauderdale FL Zone 10b. Easily one of the best roses for Florida, especially South Florida's zones 10 and 11. This rose LOVES humid heat and the foliage is completely disease proof in my no spray garden. I daresay the foliage is even more beautiful than the flowers themselves! But the flowers are stunning, delicate concoctions of the softest buttercream with tawny centers. Even in the worst heat they are nice and double. In cool weather you can expect jawdropping flowers like the one shown here. My only complaint that, at least in my climate, Etoile de Lyon has very little fragrance. But everything else is so incredible that you can forgive the scentlessness.
