VALE: Yvonne Arnold - 23 June, 2020. Adelaide Hills, South Australia.
Von was an amazing rosarian/gardener, a keen photographer, lover and teacher of fine music and a supportive friend to all that knew her, world-wide. At the time of her passing, Von was surrounded by husband, Dick and her family. Von will be sadly missed by many. RIP in Rose Heaven.

Loved reading about your garden journey. Did you go to Albany Conference in 2018. I did and it was wonderful.
I came to the Sthn Highlands Conference in 2016 and it ran like a well oiled machine, the gardens were jaw dropping, the lectures informative and David Stone the keynote speaker was fun. Peter Cox’s paintings were superb. Steve and Sue, Clive and Debra and many others ran themselves ragged fir us delegates. Bonita Cattell

Hi, Sadly, we lost one of our rose legends in here Australia on Saturday, Peter Cox was made an Honorary Life Member of the Heritage Roses in Australia and was the recipient of the Deane Ross Memorial Award for his contribution to roses.
He was also the author of "Species Roses" which depicts his passion of species and heritage roses through his oil paintings.
Is there any chance of including Peter under the Authors listing where he can receive due honors for his work with our beloved roses. I have some photos I could send you as well. Thank you kindly, Rita Granata

He has been listed as an author for many years now Rita, from his 1999 Australian Roses: Roses and Rose Breeders of Australia book. I have added the Species Roses book of his paintings. Many thanks for letting us know.

Thanks Pat. Peter's name wasn't coming up in the search. I also tried to search for other authors and using their full name wasn't returning any results. Then I decided to just use the Christian name only and viola, there he was. I've uploaded some photos, probably in the wrong place. Just didn't want his passing to go unnoticed in the rose world.
