Bred by Samuel Darragh (1932-2019) McGredy IV (1968).
Introduced in New Zealand by McGredy Roses International (New Zealand) as 'Royal Salute'.
Introduced in United Kingdom by John Mattock, The Rose Nurseries in 1976 as 'Royal Salute'.
Class:
Miniature, Patio.  
Bloom:
Red.  Rose-red. Rose-pink. Carmine pink..  None / no fragrance.  25 to 30 petals.  Average diameter 1.5".  Double (17-25 petals), in small clusters, rosette bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, compact, rounded.  Small, matte, dark green foliage.  

Height: 1' to 2' (30 to 60cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
