Tea-Scented Roses. Souvenir de Pierre Notting. Golden yellow, shaded pink; high-pointed centre, an extremely dainty rose; outer petals spoil easily; very free and free from mildew, Vig.
Book  (1911)  Page(s) 97-98.

Souvenir de Pierre Notting Tea., 1902).- at its best is a very beautiful rose of deep apricot-yellow colour. It has an excellent habit, good foliage, is very free flowering, and as far as these qualities are concerned would be a fine garden rose. It has, however, the disadvantage of producing very rough outer petals, and unless severely disbudded and grown as if for exhibition, and carefully protected against the weather, the flowers are of little value.

Translation: Souvenir de Pierre Notting, darling offspring of the previous two subjects [Maréchal Niel and Maman Cochet] the most beautiful, the most graceful of their children, unites in his precious head the merits of his illustrious parents. He adds an unceasing floriferousness and holds, I believe the record for continuous flowering. Marvelous result of a well chosen marriage, we must hope that our breeders will not fail to be inspired by this happy example to prolong even more, if possible, the life of our roses.

New Tea Roses.
Souv. de Pierre Notting (Soupert & Notting, 1901). Colour apricot-yellow blended with coppery-yellow; long bud, opening to finely formed flowers, but so far hardly justifying the term "Yellow Maman Cochet" either in size of blooms or growth.
