Tea Roses.
Souvenir de Pierre Notting This meritorious Rose has been exhibited several times in competition with other Tea Roses, and has won many gold medals and awards of merit. It is known by experts as one of the most dependable varieties of its class. The flowers are apricot-yellow, the edges of the petals shading to carmine-rose, and the fragrance is marked. The buds are long and pointed; the flowers large, perfectly full and very distinct in bearing. A vase of these beautiful flowers, which lend themselves so well to artistic arrangement, presents a magnificent effect. The growth of the plant is strong, bushy and vigorous, and the blooms are freely produced. Souvenir de Pierre Notting Rose was introduced by one of the largest growers of Roses in France, and many Frenchmen consider that it has not been surpassed by any variety from that country of Roses. It is a splendid all-around garden variety and should receive the attention of every lover of fine Roses.

Tea Roses
Souvenir de Pierre Notting. -- The buds of this variety are long and shapely, and of apricot-yellow colouring, though they are none too double, and in hot weather quickly open to full flowers. It grows well, and is quite a good Tea rose for the garden.

Roses With Bad Habits.
Souvenir de Pierre Notting and Mme. Constant Soupert are two lovely gems; but who can recommend them to the novice, for scarcely a bloom is produced devoid of a blemish generally upon the outer petals? In my opinion it spoils the beauty of these two Roses so much that I cannot recommend them to anyone, except to those who exhibit.
