Origin:
Bred by Francis Gillot (France, 1919).
Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1920 as 'Joseph Baud'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Orange and golden-yellow, carmine-red stripes.  Strong, sweet fragrance.  Very large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Light green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
'Joseph Baud' in Sangerhausen seems mislabeled.
