'Heart's Desire' rose Description

Dark red Hybrid Tea. Registration name: Heart's Desire (hybrid tea, Howard, 1940) Exhibition name: Heart's Desire
Bloom:
Dark red. Strong fragrance. 25 to 30 petals. Average diameter 4.5". Large, very double, high-centered to cupped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Large buds.
Habit:
3 to 7 leaflets.
Height: 42" to 4' (105 to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 7b through 10b. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
