Who was Papa Calame?

Well, there was an artist named Alexandre Calame (May 28, 1810 -March 17, 1864).

His many paintings of the mountains of Switzerland were based on drawings and studies done from nature during summer sketching expeditions. He visited France, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy and England and enjoyed a European reputation.
