Bloom:
Blush, red shading, yellow undertones. Strong fragrance. Large, semi-double (9-16 petals), cupped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Climbing. Large foliage.
Height: 6'7" to 11½' (200 to 350cm). Width: up to 6' (up to 185cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Notes:
Blairii No. 1 in commerce and gardens seems mislabeled. Willam Paul describes it as semi-double. For clarification about parentage, see References. Brent Dickerson reports on 3/30/07... " 'Blairii No. 1' usually gets tagged to 1845 or 1844; but the *Floricultural Cabinet* is talking about it in 1837, and lo and behold [Thomas] Rivers [1837 catalog] offers it (construing his 'Blairii' as 'Blairii No. 1') in 1837. Consequently, we can attribute and date it as "Blair, -1837" (or even "Blair/Rivers, -1837" should anyone want to live on the edge)".
