Origin:
Bred by Dr. Frank Leith Skinner (Canada, 1950).
Class:
Hybrid Spinosissima.  
Bloom:
Coral-pink.  Mild fragrance.  27 to 40 petals.  Average diameter 2".  Small, full (26-40 petals), cupped bloom form.  Spring or summer flush with scattered later bloom.  
Habit:
Arching, armed with thorns / prickles, spreading, suckers on its own roots.  Small, dark green, attractive fall color foliage.  

Height: up to 6' (up to 185cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 2b through 8b.  Very hardy.  produces decorative hips.  Needs little care; relatively disease-free and quite hardy.  Prune dead wood.
