Introduced in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. (Newark, NY) in 1952 as 'Detroiter'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1954 as 'Schlösser's Brilliant'.
Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1958 as 'Brillant'.

Bloom:
Carmine-red, red shading.  Moderate fragrance.  20 to 25 petals.  Average diameter 5.5".  Very large, double (17-25 petals), high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.

Bushy, upright.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
