Weeks Roses lists the Parentage as Playboy x seedling derivative of Rosa soulieana. See Comments & Questions for suggestions that the pollen parent was a cross of Rosa soulieana and 'Sunsprite.' The patent application notes that the pollen parent has semi-double clear yellow blooms.
Michael at Michael's Premier Roses said this one could be a climber -- it can go to 8 feet or more and it spreads.
