Origin:
Bred by Harry Smith (Sweden, 1922).
Class:
Atragene Group, Early Small Flowered, Group 1, Macropetala Group.  
Bloom:
Blue.  4 petals.  Average diameter 1.5".  Semi-double, nodding bloom form.  Mid-to-late spring, late summer.  
Habit:

Height: 6½' to 8' (200 to 245cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 3b through 9b.  Plant in soil that drains well.  Plant in sun or partial shade.  Suitable for growing in a container.  No pruning required.  Shape or tidy up the plant AFTER flowering is finished.  It blooms on the previous year's growth, so resist the urge to prune it in early spring.
