Bred by Ernest Markham (United Kingdom, circa 1930).
Introduced in United Kingdom by George Jackman & Son as 'Miriam Markham'.

Bloom:
Rose-red.  Average diameter 8".  Double bloom form.  Late spring to early summer, late summer.  
Habit:

Height: 6' to 8' (185 to 245cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Best in a sunny location.  sheltered.  Suitable for growing in a container.  It blooms on the previous year's growth, so resist the urge to prune it in early spring.
