Introduced by Ernest Wilson in 1908 as 'C. tangutica subsp. obtusiuscula'.
Class:
Late Small Flowered, Tangutica Group.  
Bloom:
4 petals.  Average diameter 1".  Single, nodding bloom form.  Midsummer to midautumn.  
Habit:

Height: 10' to 13' (305 to 395cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Plant in sun or partial shade.  In early spring, cut back to just above the lowest set of healthy buds.
