A new and distinct Clematis plant is provided that is the product of a controlled interspecific hybridization program carried out during 1994 at Beaucouze, France. The female parent (i.e., the seed parent) was `The President` Clematis variety (non-patented in the United States), and the male parent (i.e., pollen parent) was the `Olgae` variety (non-patented in the United States)
