Baby Chateau. Good growth and foliage, flowering most freely. At times the colour has been all that could be desired, but in hot weather it burns badly, which is a great pity, as it spoils what would otherwise have been a magnificent bedding Rose.

Almost equally good is Baby Chateau (Kordes, 1936) an intensely dark scarlet crimson with vigorous, healthy foliage and growth. The colour is so intense it is liable to burn in very hot weather, but it will be largely grown for its other outstanding qualities.

New Roses 1939. Baby Chateau (H. Pol.  Kordes 1936) Flowers large for the type, double, and slightly fragrant, with a deep velvety crimson colour. The blooms are produced in clusters on long stems, while the foliage is healthy and the growth vigorous. 2/6 ea. 27/- doz. 
Particularly brilliant colour and splendid healthy foliage. Somewhat liable to burn in hot weather. Highly recommended
