Group 3, Late Large Flowered, Viticella Group.  
Bloom:
Violet, yellow anthers.  4 to 6 petals.  Average diameter 3.75".  Medium, single, star-shaped bloom form.  Midsummer to early autumn.

Height: 8'2" to 9'10" (250 to 300cm).

The present invention constitutes a new and distinct variety of Clematis which originated from a chance pollination between the female seed parent an unnamed, non-patented plant and an unknown male pollen parent plant....`EVIpo001` was selected by Raymond J. Evison and Mogens N. Olesen in their Clematis development program in Domarie Vineries Les Sauvagees, St. Sampsons, Guernsey, Channel Islands, United Kingdom in April of 1997.
