BKN Strobel was Meilland's licencee for Germany. It had to declare banktrupcy and is being closed early 2016. [From Les Amis des Roses, 4. trimester 1953, p. 110:] A Pinneberg, une très bonne culture de variétés nouvelles peut être admirée chez M. STROBEL : .1.000 Cocorico, 3.000 Moulin Rouge formaient de magnifiques tapis rouge brillant ; des rangs très longs de Grand'Mère Jenny, Monte-Carlo, Madame Antoine Meilland, etc.. étalaient des quantités de magnifiques fleurs.
