[From www.welt-der.rosen.de] Dr. Georg Dieck (1841-1925) was scientist, botanist, farmer and nursery owner. He described and introduced 'Conditorum' and 'Trigintipetala', as well as re-introducing 'Suaveolens'. His presented his collection of 450 Wild Roses to Conrad Peter Strassheim, who showed them at the 1900 at the World Exhibition in Paris. Later, they became part of the collection of the Roseraie at L'Haÿ. In 1909 cuttings of the collection were sent to Sangerhausen.
