OVER A YEAR AGO---Summer, 2012, 2nd year OWN ROOT...........arrived one year prior to this pic as a tiny stick...........as I type this this same plant is now 7 feet tall, own root, very rare from what I see to get the same growth own root as budded.................

My absolute favorite rose of ALL time. This is a 2nd year own root. 2nd year! Classed as a Grandiflora on release, this one tanked. It really should have been classified as a climber----here in 6a even own root it busts up to 7 feet in a growing season---only blooms at the ends of those long canes thanks to Daddy Buccaneer, but at any rate it bigger and lustier and healthier than Joseph's Coat, blooms more than Buccaneer, is far and away more of a climber/pillar than Pinata! After a BUDDED Golden Showers, here in 6a and now in its 3rd year, my own root Cherry Vanilla is my BIGGEST PLANT...........more to love!
