Pink blend Hybrid Tea. Registration name: Confidence (hybrid tea, Meilland, 1950)
Bloom:
Orange-pink, light pink edges, white reverse, yellow undertones. Reverse shaded amber, verbena fragrance. Strong, lemon fragrance. 25 to 38 petals. Very large, double (17-25 petals), classic hybrid tea, high-centered bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Ovoid buds.
Habit:
Upright, well-branched. Dark green, leathery foliage.
Height: up to 4¼' (up to 130cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer. Can be used for cut flower or garden. Prefers dry climates. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) . Prune lightly or not at all.
