E. F. Allen,   Awards To New Rose Seedlings In Great Britain In 1974.
Alpine Sunset ('Grandpa Dickson' x 'Dr. A. S. Verhage'). An upright growing hybrid tea by Cants of Colchester, with large cup-shaped flowers of a soft deep yellow and pink blend. The flushes are very prolific and the flowers strongly scented. The soft petals spot after rain and there was some mildew in 1973 but I judge this to be a good bedding rose. Trial Ground Certificate.
