Origin:
Discovered by Alexandre Bernaix (France, 1887).
Introduced in Australia by C. F. Newman and Sons - Adelaide in 1894 as 'Duchesse d'Auerstaedt'.

Bloom:
Golden-yellow, lighter shading.  Moderate fragrance.  up to 35 petals.  Average diameter 5".  Large, very double, borne mostly solitary, cupped, scalloped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Medium, climbing.  Large, glossy foliage.  

Height: 10' to 20' (305 to 610cm).  Width: 6' (185cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 7b through 10b.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.
