Our 1976 introduction is 'Same of Sark', an orange floribunda of particularly rich and noticeable colour, inviting comment again and again. it won a Certificate of Merit in Geneva, and a Trial Ground Certificate in St. Albans. In the first BARB trials, it was pointed top for health. We named it for an old and valued friend of our firm, Dame Sybil Hathaway, in her 90th year. She was delighted, and we are glad to have brougth her that happiness near the end of her long and distinguished life.

E. F. Allen,   Awards To New Rose Seedlings In Great Britain In 1974.
Dame of Sark [('Pink Parfait' x 'Masquerade') x 'Tabler's Choice']. A very vigorous upright floribunda by Jack Harkness, with trusses of deep yellow flowers, the petals broadly edged orange red (R.H.S. 33A). The flowers open flat and are non-fading and the foliage is excellent. I could detect no scent but nevertheless consider that this will make an outstanding bedding rose. Trial Ground Certificate.
