Origin:
Bred by Mathias Tantau, Jr. (1912 - 2006) (Germany, before 1958).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Wheatcroft Brothers Ltd. in 1960 as 'Dorothy Wheatcroft'.
Introduced in Australia by Better Roses (Australia) in 1962 as 'Dorothy Wheatcroft'.
Class:
Floribunda, Shrub.  
Bloom:
Red.  Mild fragrance.  up to 18 petals.  Average diameter 3.5".  Semi-double (9-16 petals), in small clusters, cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy.  

Height: 4' to 5' (120 to 150cm).  Width: 3' to 4' (90 to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
