Origin:
Bred by Dr. Walter E. Lammerts (United States, circa 1950).
Introduced in United States by Germain's (Germain Seed & Plant Co.) in 1956 as 'Golden Showers'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1958 as 'Golden Showers'.
Class:
Climber, Large-Flowered Climber.  
Bloom:
Yellow.  Moderate, centifolia, licorice, tea fragrance.  20 to 35 petals.  Average diameter 4.25".  Large, very double, borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, high-centered to flat bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Medium, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Climbing, few or no prickles/thorns, upright, well-branched.  Medium, glossy, dark green foliage.  3 to 5 leaflets.  

Height: 10' to 14' (305 to 425cm).  Width: up to 6' (up to 185cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 3b through 10b.  Shade tolerant.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.  Can be pruned to maintain a shorter habit.
