Bloom:
Purple. Strong, clove fragrance. up to 25 petals. Average diameter 4". Large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form. Occasional repeat later in the season.

Armed with thorns / prickles.
Height: 5' to 7' (150 to 215cm). Width: 4' to 7' (120 to 215cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 3b and warmer. Hardy. drought resistant. produces decorative hips. Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant, very blackspot resistant.. Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood..

Notes:
Sets a heavy crop of large scarlet hips. Named after "The Hansa Nursery" of Schaum and Van Tol in Boskoop, Netherlands. The Swedish Rose Society recommends Hansa for northern Sweden. Sam Kedem says 'Hansa' is suitable as a screen and it suckers profusely.
