Origin:
Bred by Charles Mallerin (France, before 1951).
Introduced in France by EFR (Editions Françaises des Roses) in 1951 as 'Méphisto'.
Class:
Floribunda, Hybrid Polyantha.  
Bloom:
Geranium-red.  Mild fragrance.  Very large, semi-double (9-16 petals), in large clusters, cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Medium, bushy, upright.  Large, dense, leathery foliage.  

Height: 2' to 32" (60 to 80cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
