Introduced in Australia by H. Kemp in 1915 as 'H. V. Machin'.

Scarlet - crimson, darker veining. Moderate, tea fragrance. Very large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, flat, globular bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
